City Culture: Zero Waste Cosmetics - in cooperation with the VHS
Online course
Pamper your body without plastic, but with love. In this online workshop, we will make various care products from simple ingredients. The beauty of it: At the end you know exactly what is in your oil or scrub. The recipes are tried and tested and easy to implement without prior knowledge.

Included in the materials packet:
A jar for the rosemary scrub containing: 20g coconut oil, 3 drops rosamrin oil, half tbsp coarse salt.
A jar for the deodorant cream with: 2 tsp. coconut oil, 1 tsp. shea butter, 2 drops of eth. oil
Spice packet: 1 cinnamon stick, 10 cloves, 10 grains of pepper
Lip balm: 20g coconut oil, 25g cocoa butter

Should have on hand:
25g salt
dried rosemary (kitchen spice)
3Tl cornstarch
1 organic orange or orange peel
40g coffee powder (used and dried)
100g brown sugar (you can also use regular white sugar. The sugar should be fine, so no coarse cane sugar).
300ml almond oil
A tiny bit of honey
A mortar
Kitchen scale
Funnel
Grater
Wooden board
Small bowl
Several clean tea spoons and tablespoons
A small, clean 100ml bottle with a cap (alternatively, a screw-top jar will work as well)
For labeling your jars: labels or paper and tape

To participate in an online course, you will need to provide an email address, as the link to participate will be sent to you that way.

Technical requirements to participate in the course:
Stable Internet access. PC or notebook with microphone and camera as well as speakers (or headphones). We do not recommend that you participate with a cell phone or tablet (as the zoom functions are limited).
The course is offered by the provider zoom.us. Zoom runs browser-based or with a small installation that is executed directly in the registration process. You will receive the necessary link and further information from us with the invitation to the course.
