City culture: Zero Waste cleaning products - in cooperation with the VHS
Online course
Supermarket chains and drugstores have long since recognized how popular the topics of plastic avoidance and zero waste are. They offer new products that you can easily make yourself! You produce less waste and save money. In this online workshop, you will learn how to make your own scouring powder, dishwashing detergent, etc. with just a few ingredients. In addition, you will be provided with lots of information on how you can make your everyday life more sustainable and have the opportunity to exchange ideas with like-minded people.

other ingredients:
shell of one egg
1 tablespoon cornstarch
550ml spirit (you can get this in the drugstore, in some big supermarkets and also in the hardware store)
two sips of apple cider vinegar (alternatively you can use another white vinegar)

for bottling:
1 medium screw-top jar
1 large screw-top jar
1 heat-resistant glass with 500ml capacity (like a yogurt jar or similar)
2 bottles (500ml or more capacity)

Kitchen utensils:
several eating spoons and teaspoons
Kitchen scale
electric kettle
small pot
Useful: a small funnel
mortar (alternative: a bowl and a tablespoon)

Technical requirements to participate in the course:
Stable Internet access. PC or notebook with microphone and camera as well as speakers (or headphones). We do not recommend that you participate with a cell phone or tablet (as the zoom functions are limited).
The course is offered by the provider zoom.us. Zoom runs browser-based or with a small installation that is executed directly in the registration process. You will receive the necessary link and further information from us with the invitation to the course.
